Hello gentle internet peoples. I have some (moderately) exciting news, and I just wanted to take a moment to update you on the status of this blog and what is in place to happen in the days and weeks ahead. Today is the first day of my last class of graduate school, marking the start of the ending of one journey, while signaling the beginning of something totally new and different. And here’s your invitation to stay along for the ride.
Today also marks a significant departure for this blog. From this day forward, I will no longer continue to pursue the journey of “make work great” through writing for business leaders on this site. Instead, I will be focusing on making great work (thank you, English language, for the flexibility), as I devote a significant amount of time and energy into bringing my own marketing and business consulting company, Introverted Consulting, LLC into the big scary world. Much of the relevant and thoughtful insights directed towards business leaders that was destined for this blog will likely be carried by the blog on that site, so do me a favor an go check out the new home.
But do not fear this space being left to rot. I intend to use this blog to share my personal journey of launching the aforementioned marketing marketing and business consulting company. Whatever joy, excitement, frustration, or pain I experience along the way (hopefully more of the former), I would like to offer through candid tales of each emotion. If you continue to follow this site, I intend to share the stories of all the myriad people who have influenced me to this point and introduce you to every interesting individual I meet along the way. I hope to write more raw and unfiltered as well, since this will become more of a personal blog than a professional one, even though this journey is just a personal one into a professional life. Ultimately, I plan to share what knowledge I bring going into this challenge, and hope to share what knowledge I bring coming out with me on the other side.
And I hope that you decide to stick around for the ride.
The next post (soon) will cover the tentative plan for transition and a timetable for all the exciting stuff. I look forward to writing to you again!
