The Real World

Ever heard someone say, “that will never work in the real world”? How do you respond? Or, how often have you said it yourself?

At the core, saying something will never work without even giving any effort is a convenient and creative excuse to avoid trying. Rather than taking individual responsibility for effort, or identifying the barriers preventing success, saying it won’t work in the “real world” creates a mythical land where excuses are the norm.

If you don’t think it will work, try to prove it.
